The Black List: Intimate Portraits of Black America
The Black List (Volume One)

Instructor: Richard Poulin
The Black List is an HBO documentary that highlights interviews with 20 African-American leaders and their struggles against racial discrimination. I used the shape of a hand as a metaphor for an unknown identity since we do not know who left the print and thus cannot judge it. In the same manner, I wanted to convey the point that we cannot judge a person based on their race.
